• I have a thing for multifunctional spaces • That’s just me • • • It’s not for everyone, I get that • The philosophy of doing something once and well makes so much sense for so many people • But for me, under my own roof, I love to rearrange depending on the season because I feel like each change demands something different from our home • • • Over the winter this space functioned as open storage for some of our go-to serving/entertaining pieces allowing for easy access that was layered, textural and a lovely sight line from the kitchen and dining rooms • In the fall the same surface played the role of serving station for a photo shoot I did with @athomeonthenorthshore • But in the warmer months, when dining is more casual and gravitates outside, once again this surface shifts its use to a desk work station right off the action of the kitchen • • • Tell me, what’s your personal philosophy or approach in your own home? • Do you move things around and love multifunctional spaces? • Or is everything in the same place since the day you moved in? • • • #howihome #multifunctionaldesign #lovethehomeyouhave #transitionaldesign

• I’m not sure I’ve ever actually decorated for Halloween • In my life • The odd kids craft here and there • And the given front step attempt with the pumpkins • • • But this year I’m feeling it • Every so much • In September at that • • • The kids think I’m legit the coolest now • So I’ll take that • And Rob and I may have to take this spider web theme outside to frighten the neighbours • I’ll keep you posted on his level of enthusiasm for that • • • What’s your level of seasonal decor when it comes to fall/Halloween? • • • #halloweendecor #falldecor

• Corn anyone? • 🌽 • • • I bought a dozen corn for three of us 🤔 • Hmm. • Didn’t think that one through, that’s for sure • • • But, on the other hand, my counter top styling has been on point all week • So there is that • • • Are you a minimalist when it comes to kitchen countertops? • Less is more? • Or more is more? • • • I used to like absolutely the bare minimum on my kitchen counters • But since we’ve made over our kitchen in this house I actually find myself loving having things out that we use regularly • Except the toaster • I just can’t do it Rob, you’ll have to keep bringing it out every.single.time. 😂 • • • #kitchenstyling #kitchencountertops

• Taking a moment this Monday morning to slow down and enjoy the view • The big picture of how far this space has come and then honing in on the details that individually bring joy • • • Looking beyond the unfinished, to do list, or dreams of decor • What do you love within your four walls? • • • For me it’s the plants that pop against my neutral shell, the salvaged items that tell a story, and the fort of stuffies so carefully crafted directly at the base of my staircase • • • #mondayhomemoment #lovethehomeyouhave #herbgarden
